Dear watchers and fellow deviants,

I decided to write this journal to inform you that I was leaving dA, or that at least wasn't going to upload pictures on here anymore even though i'm going to keep my profile up.
It really saddened me an insane lot to take this decision, i've been an active member on deviantArt for over 7 YEARS but the past year has brought me to think dA lost its community spirit and the investment i put on here wasn't worth the effort anymore.

As you might know, the only way to actually share one's art on here would be to share their work on groups, however since groups have been slowly dying one after the other and since really few people check their Watch for the remaining active groups (including me! like everyone else, i lost interest in the system!), everybody's art, including mine, gets far less attention than it did something like 2 years ago. I have never been here for the popularity but for the community spirit, and as much as my work doesn't get exposure anymore, i also find it really hard to find new people whose art i want to discover simply because they are drowned in the endless flow of new pieces uploaded 24/7 and dA's system is way too poor to allow such a huge community to actually SHARE a community experience anymore

I decided to try something new and move to 500px and to invest more time in my Facebook page, if you want to meet me there i'd be glad to follow you guys and have the same "relationship" as we did on here. I fought for a long time for deviantArt but now more than ever, it simply feels like a dead end and it sincerely doesn't bring in any pleasure at all anymore for me.

I met so many AMAZING people on here i couldn't even begin to count them, but sometimes in life it's no use to just hold on to something just because it had a big impact at some point of your life when it simply doesn't bring out any joy or pleasure whatsoever. 

I am going to upload the best of my deviantArt gallery on 500px and a whole lot of new pictures. As for my portraits they are still available on Facebook. I simply want to insist on how much this journal isn't meant to advertise my activity on other platforms but rather to be able to keep interacting with the adorable people i met on here over the years. Seriously, feel free to shoot me a message on my Facebook page, i mean it.

I am finally back on dA.
So sorry for being away for so long, not answering messages and faves. I especially want to thank everyone who thought about my birthday

I'm done uploading all my pictures again, and it is now time to submit some new stuff around here !  
Some pictures of my trip to Sydney, and some pictures of my summer in France.
Totally glad to be back, have to thank you all again for your messages, encouragements, and all the support, really means a lot to me

So if you want to help me, please consider liking my facebook photography page here, there's a whole lot of portraits i didn't put on dA, really trying to gather a regular audience there to gain a little credit in my (new) photography career.

Hey guys,

Just letting you know about how things are going here since i found out my pictures had been stolen and so on.
It just keeps coming.
As of late i don't have time to upload new versions for all 98 pictures in my gallery with bigger watermarks and to put "do not use" icons in every description (thank god i only have 98 pictures!..)
And since i want to keep control over my gallery, i decided to put every deviation in storage until i'm done editing my pictures.

I'm really tired to chase after the photography thieves and i also don't find it okay that people use my work as their icons on dA without even telling me about it. 
I also disabled all sharing buttons and my deviations will only be visible for registered members of dA. Won't solve everything, but at least i'll feel safer.

I will not leave dA however, i will most definitely be coming back whenever i get time and i'm not going to deactivate my account.
Right now my days are filled with exhausting work as i am preparing my trip to Sydney, so i don't have too much time to take pictures either. My new "policies" will take effect from my next upload, and i will progressively put my pictures back on.

Dearly thanking everybody for your heart warming support on my previous journal entry, it felt great.
Thank you for your patience and will be glad to see everyone around when i'm done with this shit.

Dear watchers and people from deviantart.
The reason i decide to write you all today is pretty much to inform you.

90% of my gallery has seen its pictures stolen, altered and claimed by other people. I today discovered they had been posted on something like 20 different websites all over the world by different people, facebook included, where my watermarks have been cropped, the pictures have been re-edited, and people get something like twice more attention than i actually do here. My face has been used on forums, my still life to promote religious messages, and so much more - that's only the tip of the iceberg.

So i guess this is it, i either take my deviantArt account down and keep all my pictures to myself, or will have to take drastic steps that i really don't want to. I will make my watermark bigger, placed right in the middle and much more visible so you don't just crop it.
My DD "Where i live" has been uploaded on a smartphone wallpaper website named Zedge and got 800 downloads without my consent (and without my watermark, since it's been cropped).

So people are going to say.. "hey, what did you expect ?"
And i'll probably tell them, well, i don't know, that MAYBE PEOPLE AREN'T JUST LIKE THAT. 
But they are. I am truly hurt by the way people just take and use other's work when i put so much love, dedication and care in every single picture i take. It is deeply disrespectful and oh how i regret it has to come to this.

So in the next few days you are going to see my pictures change with bigger watermarks and big fat agressive "YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO USE THIS ARTWORK IN ANY WAY WITHOUT MY WRITTEN PERMISSION" in every description. Because maybe it is not obvious enough when i just write it on my profile, or maybe just to respect one's intellectual property, especially when deviantart provides its users with a copyright already.

So sorry it had to come to this, people make me sick.
